Directions from the Appalachian Forest Museum to Spruce Hill.
Turn right out of the parking lot on Cave Road and follow it until it dead ends on US Highway 50. Turn right. After approximately four miles you will pass through Bainbridge, continue on. You will pass by Seip Mound and Paint Valley High School. The next little town will be Bourneville, it's small so stay alert. After Bourneville watch carefully for road signs on your right. Turn right on Blaine Highway. The next road you will come to is Black Run Road. Turn right. Black Run will make a 90-degree turn to the left. Go straight. You will now be on Spruce Hill Road. A bit farther down the road Spruce Hill Road makes a 90 degree turn to the left between a white farm house and a barn. Another road (Shoemaker, usually not signed) goes straight--don't take it. Make the left turn and continue on Spruce Hill Road a short distance to a medium-sized gravel parking lot which will be quite obvious on your right. For the Wildflower Pilgrimage, the gate will be open -- go on in and your guide will be waiting.
