Your final destination of Shawnee State Park Lodge is
approximately 95 miles from Outerbelt 270. We haven't test-driven from Columbus, but
we are estimating it is a
one hour and fifty minute drive from the outerbelt. Be sure to add on how long it takes you to get to that
exit from your starting point to estimate your total driving time. To Begin:
Get on the 270 Outerbelt around Columbus and head south toward the SR 23
Exit. Exit on SR 23 and go south. (If 270 were a clock, the exit is at 6:00).
Follow Route 23 all the way past Circleville, past Chillicothe, past Waverly,
staying the entire distance on 23. Continue on 23 all the way to Portsmouth.
Watch carefully for the signs 52 WEST. Follow 52 west to SR 125. Turn right or
west. It is approximately 4 miles to Shawnee State Park. Watch for state park
signage. The Lodge will be on your left and is well-marked.

to Shawnee State Park Lodge.
Your final destination of Shawnee State Park Lodge is
approximately 74 miles from Outerbelt 275. We haven't test-driven from Cincinnati,
but we are estimating it is a one hour and forty minute drive from the
32 exit on the 275 Outerbelt. Be sure to add on how long it takes you to get to that
exit to estimate your total driving time. To Begin: Get on the 275
outerbelt around Cincinnati and go to to the Newtown area (southeast corner of
the metropolis on 275, if 275 were a clock the exit would be at 5:00. Exit on
Route 32, the Appalachian Highway.
Follow SR 32 east to Seaman.
At Seaman turn right (south) on State Route 247. Follow 247 into West Union
where you will turn left at the courthouse onto state route 125. Be sure to stay
on 125 as you leave town by veering to the right when it splits with state route
41. Follow 125 about 20 miles to the park entrance on the right.

Turn left out of the 7 Caves Parking Lot. Follow Cave Rd.
South to Barrett Mill Rd. (Cave Rd. dead ends into it)
Turn LEFT on Barrett Mill Rd
Travel 3.1 miles. Barrett Mill Rd dead ends into State Rt.
41 in a town called Cynthiana
Turn RIGHT on State Rt. 41. (Now you are going South)You will travel approximately 15 miles on State Rt 41. You
will reach a town called LOCUST GROVE
Turn LEFT on State Rt. 73 (east)
Drive approx. 13 MILES. You will see a small town called OTWAY.
Turn RIGHT on State Rt. 348 (it jogs, so you will see 348
on your left first)
Drive approx. 1 MILE
Turn LEFT on Rocky Fork Rd. (first rd. on left out of Otway)
Drive approx. 6 MILES
When you reach State Rt. 125, turn LEFT.
Drive Approx. 4 MILES
Watch for the sign that says “LODGE and CABINS”. Turn RIGHT
and follow the road through the park to the top of hill to the lodge parking
lot. Look for the 15 passenger van that is waiting for you.
